The club Independiente has decided to loan the young talent Santiago López to Rosario Central, with the aim of renewing its squad. López, who debuted in 2023 with high expectations, faced injuries and competition from other players that limited his participation in the team. By joining Rosario Central under the direction of Ariel Holan, former coach of Independiente, the midfielder will have the chance to relaunch his career and prove his worth.
On its part, Rosario Central is committed to the development of young talents and sees the addition of López as an opportunity to strengthen its squad. The agreement between both clubs establishes that López will play on loan for one year with the Rosario team, with a fee of 150,000 dollars and an option to purchase 50% of his transfer for 2.5 million dollars. This way, Independiente will retain the other half of his rights, ensuring a potential economic benefit in the future.
López's departure from Independiente coincides with the arrival of Lucas “Pocho” Román at the club, who is looking to regain his best form in Argentine football. Román, who has excelled in the Argentine U-17 National Team, joins the red team with the intention of accumulating the playing minutes he did not have in Avellaneda. With this market move, both teams hope to strengthen their squads and enhance the performance of their players.
